Jelly mooncakes are different from traditional versions. This is because the shells are not made of flour and the fillings are not green beans. The crust is made from jelly and the filing often has fruits.
Making jelly mooncakes are extremely simple and they are easier than traditional mooncakes. Jelly mooncakes also have many versions such as green-tea mooncakes, salted-egg mooncakes, green-bean paste, and flan jelly mooncakes.
Today, we will show you how to make jelly mooncakes (fruit flavors).
Ingredients
- Gelatin (about 5grams)
- Yogurt (about 200grams)
- Condensed milk (about 25grams)
- Vanilla powder brand butterfly (one tube)
- Water (about 400ml)
- Sugar (about 160grams)
- Jelly powder (about 8grams)
- Orange juice or other juices (about 600ml)
Instructions
- Step 1: put the gelatin into the ice water and soak it in a bowl for 15 minutes. Then, you melt it in the microwave.
- Step 2: add gelatin (step 1), the yogurt, condensed milk, and the Vanilla powder brand butterfly to that bowl. You mix and leave the mixture in one hour.
- Step 3: put 400ml water, 160gr sugar, 8gr jelly powder, orange juice to the mixture, boil, and stir it well. Do not forget to add one tube of Vanilla powder brand butterfly.
- Step 4: pour the mixture into the shaping mold and keep it cool in 10 minutes.
- Step 5: put it in the yogurt to make the filling cake. You should add the jelly powder to complete the baking. Put jelly mooncakes on a plate or another bowl. After that, keep the cakes cool in the fridge.
- Step 6: Finish
